This quilt was made using all cotton fabrics, including a cotton batting inside layer. Shades of pink, yellow, blue, brown and mixed neutrals make up the front checkerboard with soft white. I hand quilted this with Japanese sashiko cotton thread to hold all layers together. The binding, a soft white cotton, is hand finished at the back side. I used a small floral print cotton for the backing.
