This quilt was made using all cotton fabrics, including a cotton batting inside layer. Two shades of pink and a striped yellow print make up the front checkerboard with soft white. I hand quilted this with Japanese sashiko cotton thread to hold all layers together. The binding, a combination of pale pink and the yellow stripe, is hand finished at the back side. I used solid yellow cotton for the backing.
